Unfortunately, the weather has not been cooperative for this event.
Columbus Cars and Copters™ will not return in Season 18 due to the amount of rain in the forecast for tomorrow, September 12, which was the rain date for the original event date in June. We appreciate our partners at Scotts Miracle-Gro for their efforts in putting the event together and we hope to bring it back in Season 19. --- CCC We have made the decision, together with our hosts at Scotts Miracle-Gro, to postpone Columbus Cars and Copters, originally scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026.
The weather forecast calls for a high chance of rain throughout the day. While a car show can still take place with rain, a helicopter landing zone is more complicated. Our decision is to maximize event safety and operate under clear conditions another time. A new date will be announced soon. In the mean time, we hope you will enjoy the Barrett-Jackson auction taking place this weekend. You can buy your tickets, bidders passes, etc at www.barrett-jackson.com! Columbus Cars and Coffee is proud to support The Event 5 benefitting Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, & Indiana as an in-kind sponsor! Join The Triple F Collection at Ariel-Foundation Park in Mount Vernon on Saturday, July 11 for an unforgettable display of hypercars and supercars. To register a car for display, click here. To learn more about tickets, sponsorship, and how you can support, visit www.theeventohio.com The weather forecast looks like rain for much of Saturday and it has not improved as we've gotten closer to the weekend.
While we strive for a "rain or shine" policy, we also have to consider the hundreds of people, vendors, sponsors, media, staff, etc. involved in hosting a meet. If it is so rainy that the turnout is small, it's hard to justify those resources. Our intention is to host the first meet on Saturday, April 25, but we will make an announcement soon confirming all of those details. Thanks for your flexibility! It's April in Ohio! Due to overwhelming demand for parking, the August 24 meet of Columbus Cars and Coffee® has been moved from the Arena District to 3 Easton Oval, which offers more space. The times have also changed, to the usual 10AM-12PM.
