The banquet at the Shrine Center featured a conversation between Bobby Rahal and four-time Indy 500 champion Rick Mears, along with a live painting, silent auction, and an after party. The after party featured a small collection of extra special cars, including two real Cobras, two rare Porsches, a 1932 Cadillac, a 1941 Cadillac (which was also the backdrop for the photo booth!), and a Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 from Byers Imports. Approximately $300,000 was raised for The Buckeye Ranch, including $20,000 for the one-of-a-kind original painting of Rick Mears by Bill Patterson.
As always, the Rally experienced was finished with a trip to Mid-Ohio for the Honda Indy 200! The Rally for The Ranch had a huge hospitality tent with complimentary food and drinks and a great view of pit row and the straight before the Honda bridge/corner.
