Our 12th season stands apart from all the rest, much like 2020 has for everyone. It was the season when we had to navigate the challenges of a global pandemic, including the cancellation of some of our favorite events.

The Columbus Auto Show, Exotics on Scioto Mile, the Arena District Meet, and the long-anticipated return of the Season Opener Party were all affected. We couldn't start the season in late March or early April like we usually do. We had to have "virtual meets" on Instagram Live before we had any real ones, and the real ones required face masks and new social distancing rules.

Despite the challenges, we're proud of the season we put together. The feedback has been immensely positive, especially as our meets became one of the few events one could still enjoy in a COVID-19 world. Our carefully considered COVID-19 policies enabled us to salvage a large portion of the season and to do so safely.

We want to recognize our amazing sponsors for staying with us during this complex year. None of them backed out when the season couldn't start on time, and none of them withdrew their support for our community. We appreciate their dedication immeasurably, and we'd like to reiterate our gratitude to Hagerty, Byers Imports, ESOTERIC, Lindsay Acura, The Motor Enclave, Libertas Wealth Management, K2 Retail Development, Patriot Stainless and Welding, and VF Engineering for making this year possible.

Our dedicated volunteers ensured organized and enjoyable experiences for everyone again this year. Adrian Shellabarger, Josh Conison, Brian Shaw, Kyle Hennosy, Michael Walker, and Collin Thomas are always busy behind the scenes directing traffic, setting up tents, welcoming drivers, and delivering the high quality experiences our community has come to expect. The Cars and Coffee volunteers have become a family over the years and we can't thank them enough for all they do!

Lastly, but certainly not least, our community itself rose to the occasion of 2020 in numerous ways. Our friends at Alterra Real Estate provided us with a great location (available for lease!) when one of our "go to" spots wasn't available for the year. Our members and visitors wore masks and reminded others to do the same. The turnouts were as large or larger than normal for the majority of the year. We even had a couple of helicopters join us at the Lindsay Acura Cars and Copters event in August! We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, kind words, and understanding shown to us throughout the season.

As we look ahead to Season 13, we hope to bring back the larger-scale events. In any case, we have helped set the standard for how to host car shows safely with or without COVID, and we're excited to present our biggest and best season ever in 2021.

In the mean time, enjoy your winter, stay safe, and we'll see you early next year!

Beautiful homes, exotic and classic cars, and perfect weather are a fantastic combination!

We were excited to add Horsepower at Evans Farm to our schedule this season.

For one thing, we haven't had any events in Delaware County for a long time (ever?) and, for another, we love to create new experiences from scratch.

Thanks to U. S. Bank Home Mortgage, Evans Farm, and Pure Equity Group, we were able to do just that!

As a bonus, we were able to host one of the largest-ever gatherings of Ford GTs in Ohio! A total of eight Ford GTs were displayed as part of a day-long plan which ended with a drive to Buckeye Lake Winery. Thank you Ford GT owners for starting your day with us!

If you would like to see photos from this great event, check #HorsepoweratEvansFarm on Instagram!

Thanks to Steve Lindsay and his team at Lindsay Acura for hosting an unforgettable meet on August 8th!

For the first time, we added helicopters to the mix, including a Bell UH1 "Huey" in addition to hundreds of amazing cars.

Special thanks to the pilots for bringing their helicopters for our display!

recap: first meet of season 12

Columbus Cars and Coffee is back after a longer-than-usual break!

We want to give a huge "thank you" and a shout out to Alterra Real Estate for allowing us to meet at their property at 3 Easton Oval yesterday. Our normal location was closed and we needed an alternative on short notice, and Alterra came through for us. The building at 3 Easton Oval is recently vacant and available for lease. To learn more, click here.

This was also our first meet with our friends from The Motor Enclave. Brad and Chas set up an awesome display including Brad's new Toyota Supra and a local Ferrari 512TR to share images and information about their upcoming garage condo community in New Albany. We can't wait to see The Motor Enclave come to life in New Albany. To reserve your garage, click here.

Byers Imports, ESOTERIC, and Hagerty also set up displays at the meet, and Adam Koos from Libertas Wealth Management and Steve Lindsay from Lindsay Acura were also in attendance. We appreciate all of these organizations for their contributions to our season!

You will notice we have some beautiful photos from the meet on this post. Our "official photogrpaher," Mark Matheny (@ImagesbyMM) will be providing us with images from our meets throughout the season. Thank you, Mark, for your talent!

It was wonderful to see so many familiar "Cars and Coffee" friends and we can't wait to continue the season with more meets next month. Our schedule is still being finalized for the rest of the year, so keep an eye on the Schedule page for the latest updates. We always update the website first before any other channel/platform.

our first-ever virtual meet

Thanks to Zack from ESOTERIC, Rufus from Byers Imports, Will Motivation, and MF Autos for joining our first-ever virtual meet to launch Season 12!

This is the 11th anniversary of our first-ever meet back in 2009, so to kick it off online was even more surreal, but we're glad so many people tuned in to "gather" around cars.

We're continuing to monitor guidelines from state officials and the CDC to determine when we can begin our season, and we will post all the updates here on our website as soon as possible.

In the mean time, get out and drive, and stay safe and healthy!

recap: cars and conversation with Dale jr.

11/6/2019

Last night, we were honored to be part of a new event benefitting Nationwide Children's Hospital called Cars and Conversation: An Evening with Dale Earnhardt Jr.

This event had one goal; raise funds for the Dale and Any Earnhardt Fund at the hospital to support patients and their families.

We were pleased to have a strong showing of Columbus Cars and Coffee regulars in attendance, and we coordinated a display of cars from our community for the event. In addition, we hosted some of our own guests and assisted with the silent auction by connecting the hospital with Jay Leno's Garage.

The evening was highly successful, raising tens of thousands of dollars, and guests had a great time listening to Dale Jr. tell stories from his racing and post-racing careers. Dale is a kind, generous, and down-to-Earth person, and everyone enjoyed spending the evening with him!

Thanks to Nationwide Insurance, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Chuck Ungurean, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. for making this evening possible!

October is a great month for car shows. The weather is perfect, the leaves are colorful, and everyone is eager to get their cars out as often as possible before winter weather arrives. Thanks to Byers Imports, our October Meet was a fantastic way to welcome fall in Columbus.

Our hosts displayed the new 2020 Porsche 911 (992 generation) and the new Porsche Macan, and our members brought a dazzling array of cars.

We were fortunate to welcome three new cars to the meet, all new to Central Ohio, including two McLarens and a stripe delete Ford GT.

Sadly, there's just one more meet left of Season 11, so don't miss the finale on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Whitehall Community Park!

We always love spending time at ESOTERIC in New Albany. Between their excellent hospitality, the incredible cars they have around, and the enthusiasm they have for our community, what's not to love?

Our September Meet was no different, and Todd, Zack, Dan, and their colleagues put together a fine display of Lamborghinis, including the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Aventador SV, and the Aventador Roadster, along with a new 992 generation Porsche 911 inside!

Byers Imports also sent a 992 generation Porsche 911, and Lindsay Acura showed off their extremely limited edition Acura TLX PMC Edition (Car number 99 of 360)!

We invited our friends from The Roosevelt Coffeehouse to serve some delicious coffee and our hosts served pastries from Fox in the Snow.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a rainy, but still fun, Saturday morning, our last summer meet of Season 11!

The Arena District is one of our favorite locations for a car meet.

Thanks to Nationwide, we were able to host our fourth annual meet on Nationwide Boulevard and West Street!

Thanks to the hundreds of people who came and were a part of this special morning. It was our first Sunday meet in many years, and the weather couldn't have been better. The live music from Hurricane Jerry and The Surge set the tone for a fantastic morning.

We're fortunate to partner with Nationwide because they offer special expertise and coverage options for collector cars. To learn more, click here!

recap: july meet presented by Huntington Bank

7/22/2019

The July Meet, presented by Huntington Bank, attracted an impressive array of cars despite record-level heat! This was the hottest weather we have ever experienced at a meet, but that did not stop us. Thanks again to Patty, Jordan, Rob, and the rest of the Huntington Bank team for hosting such a fantastic gathering! To see more photos, find us on Instagram!
